De tentoonstelling gaat over ons slavernijverleden en de doorwerking daarvan in het heden. De aanleiding voor de tentoonstelling was <em>De smeekbede<\/em>, dat ik op mijn beurt weer schreef naar aanleiding van een brief uit 1795, die nooit op de bestemming aankwam.
